The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently traveling to the Fernie two Community Hall in Mpuluzi to render solutions for the community.
SASSA are going to be rendering companies including new social grant applications, change of payment method, customer treatment enquiries, as well as the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.
In a press release, the agency mentioned it is alarmed about the superior variety of people relying on social grants for survival.
“The intention from the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to the large range of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.
“That is because of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no fully functional office committed to service the area on a daily basis. The provider point designed for intervention ordeals a higher inflow of opportunity beneficiaries, which makes it hard with the office to attend to here all people who check out a service point.
“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise extra resources to allow the servicing of all shoppers and increase entry to Social Assistance expert services,” the agency said.
